Consulting Process

Six-stage consulting process: gap analysis, risk assessment, policies, implementation, internal audit, certification

Working with a consultant shouldn’t feel like a black box. Here’s exactly what happens, from the first conversation to the day you’re certified — six stages, one team, no surprises.

Every process is shaped around your business, not the other way around. A bank, a software company, a manufacturer, a food producer, a logistics operator, a medical device maker and a cosmetics brand all go through the same six stages — but what happens inside each one is different. We’re not in the business of writing documentation for a shelf. We’re in the business of building a management system your team actually uses, whatever industry you’re in.

Gap Analysis

We start by looking at where you actually stand — not where you think you stand. A structured review against the standard’s requirements, so every next step is based on facts, not assumptions.

Example — for a bank: benchmarking existing controls against ISO 27001 before a single policy is touched.

Risk Assessment

We identify what could go wrong and how much it matters, so your management system focuses effort where it’s actually needed — not on generic checkboxes.

Example — for a food producer: mapping HACCP hazard points before writing a single procedure.

Policies & Documentation

Every system needs a backbone — but ours is built around how you actually work, not copied from a template. We create what your team will genuinely use, and skip what won’t get read.

Example — for a logistics company: procedures your drivers can actually follow, not a binder no one opens.

Implementation

This is where the system becomes real — controls rolled out, staff trained, processes running the way they’re documented. We stay hands-on through this stage, not just advising from the sidelines.

Example — for a manufacturer: floor supervisors trained on the new checks, not just management.

Internal Audit

Before the real audit, we run our own — testing what works, catching what doesn’t, and fixing it while it’s still just us in the room.

Example — for a medical device maker: catching the one nonconformity that would fail a real audit.

Certification

We stay with you through the certification audit itself, Stage 1 and Stage 2, from the first question to the final decision. This is the finish line, and we don’t leave before you cross it.

Example — for a software company: walking into Stage 2 already knowing what the auditor will ask.
